The International Antiwar Assemblies were held on August 2nd in 7 cities (Tokyo, Sapporo, Kanazawa, Nagoya, Osaka, Fukuoka and Ginowan).
(See the Okinawa regional meeting in the right photo.)

The central meeting was held at the Chuo-Kaikan Hall in the centre of Tokyo. The meeting was filled with enthusiasm, attended by workers and students who had waged their struggles under the slogan 'Down with the Aso government'.

The keynote report was presented by comrade Kozo Arai on behalf of the Executive Committee:
'The coming elections will end the prolonged Liberal Democratic Party's rule. But, at this historic moment, trade union leaders in Rengo and the central leadership of the Japanese Communist Party are mobilizing workers and people just for their vote-collecting campaigns, spreading illusions about a DPJ government. We must shatter this illusion. We must advance militant struggles against war and poverty more strongly.'

Another report was made by a JRCL representative after a break.

Before the break, on behalf of the International Leninist Trotskyist Fraction (FLTI), comrade Armando Cruces from the Liga Obrera Internacionalista - Cuarta Internacional (Democracia Obreara) of Argentina presented a speech. See the gist of the speech of the FLTI delegation.

A worker of the Antiwar Youth Committee and a student of Zengakuren presented him red flags with a Spanish word for 'Unity'. Comrade Cruces raised them high.

After the FLTI delegation's speech, the Executive Committee read the messages of solidarity from foreign organizations and individuals. (Finally, the Committee received 18 messages.)

In the final session, militant resolves were expressed. A postal worker reported her antiwar activities at her workplace and denounced the leaders of her trade union for their shameless decision 'to build a labour movement as the ruling party'. Zengakuren Chair Sigeki Okuno focussed his speech on victorious struggles against the nationwide offensive to oppress the student movement. He also reported antiwar struggles Zengakuren carried out by denouncing the JCP leadership praising Obama's deceptive proposal for 'nuclear disarmament'.

After chanting slogans for fight, all participants sang the International in chorus to close the meeting.

1.

Six months have passed since Barack Obama took office as President of the imperialist state of America under the boastful slogan 'Change America and change the world'. Has 'change' really been brought about in the world since the days of 'Bush's war'? Definitely not!

It is true that the Obama administration has started talks with the Russian government led by Putin and Medvedev for 'nuclear arms reduction', issuing a call for 'concrete steps towards a world without nuclear weapons'. True, also, that he has proffered 'dialogue' to North Korea, Iran and other 'enemies of America' that are promoting the development of nuclear weapons.

In actual fact, however, Obama's attempts to stop the 'spread of nuclear weapons' intended alongside 'nuclear arms reduction' talks with Russia, have suffered a setback owing to the underground nuclear test conducted by Kim Jong Il's North Korean government. They have already lost their momentum.

The Kim Jong Il regime is vehemently calling for a condemnation of the UN Security Council resolution to impose new sanctions on North Korea, including ship inspections and financial restrictions (proposed by the US and Japanese governments - after much argument aimed at brokering a compromise with China and Russia - and carried unanimously). The North Korean government is now preparing to test long-range ballistic missiles again, and even to carry out a third round of nuclear testing. Kim Jong Il, said to be in serious condition, is intending to ensure the lineal transfer of power to his third son, Kim Jong Un. The reason why he stubbornly resorts to such military brinkmanship is that he is anxious to make the Obama-led US administration acknowledge North Korea as a nuclear power to gain recognition of his and his successor's nepotistic rule, i.e. a security guarantee for his regime.

Still fresh in Kim's memory must be the fact that George W. Bush, the war-crazed former president of the militarist empire of America as the 'world's sole superpower', launched military aggression against Iraq to topple the Saddam Hussein government based on a blatant lie, namely that Saddam secretly possessed weapons of mass destruction. As in the case of Iraq, Kim's North Korea was branded as a 'rogue state' by Bush, the man who led the world's worst 'rogue state'. By drawing lessons from the 'tragedy of Iraq' and by taking advantage of Obama's policy of 'dialogue with enemy countries', the Kim regime is desperately seeking to make the world recognize that North Korea is a country with nuclear capability.

Well aware of all this, the Obama administration is giving the cold shoulder to this regime, saying that it refuses to acknowledge North Korea as a nuclear state, and that it would not reward North Korea's provocation. It has strengthened political as well as economic sanctions against this country, while at the same time having placed its forces in South Korea, together with the ROK forces, on a war footing. It is prepared once again to mobilize the missile defence (MD) system set up in Japan for actual operations, working in close cooperation with the Japanese Aso government.

Thus, military tensions between the US-Japan-South Korea and North Korea are rapidly reaching a flashpoint in East Asia, with a particular focus on the Korean Peninsula.

This is not all. The Obama administration, which ostentatiously stresses 'dialogue with enemy countries', now faces a complete deadlock in the implementation of its policies both for the Middle East and for Afghanistan.

To take the initiative in achieving 'peace' in the Middle East, Obama pressed the Israeli government to accept the 'two-state solution', based largely on the Oslo Agreement in 1993 and supplemented with proposals by Saudi Arabian King Abdullah in 2007.

The fanatic Zionist Netanyahu government is feigning compromise with Obama's initiative, but is in fact demanding the disarmament of the Hamas militias who are fighting for the liberation of Palestine. It is rejecting the US proposition that it halt Jewish settlement activities in Palestinian territories. On the contrary, it is asking for a 'removal of the threat from Iran'. By so doing, it is effectively rejecting Obama's initiative.

In Iran today, Ahmadinejad has attained the position of President again, though shaken by huge protest demonstrations staged by 'reformist' forces against the 'rigged election'. His government is intending to strengthen further the 'anti-US imperialist, anti-Zionist' front with Hamas and Hezbollah as its spearhead. Driven by a growing fear that the state of Israel may be on the verge of ruin, the Netanyahu government is watching vigilantly for a chance to strike Iran's nuclear facilities from the air.

In Afghanistan, US forces are being met with fierce attacks by Taliban fighters, despite the presence of 12,000 reinforcements. To combat this, the Americans are carrying out indiscriminate attacks on the Afghan people, even using white phosphorous shells, the 'weapons of the Devil'. This has led the US puppet Karzai government (which is today no more than a local government in Kabul) to foment a growing distrust of the US government. So profound is this distrust, in fact, that it has started asking Chinese, Russian and Iranian rulers for help, while petitioning the US forces to stop their 'brutal air strikes'.

2.

Speaking in Prague on April 5th, Barack Obama did say 'I state clearly and with conviction America's commitment to seek the peace and security of a world without nuclear weapons'.

But this statement for 'a world without nuclear weapons' is nothing but an attempt to gild his 'arms reduction' proposal, for the greater convenience of talks with the Russian government aimed at 'nuclear arms reduction' in the immediate interests of the imperialist state of America.

In fact, Obama's statement continued: 'I'm not naive. This goal will not be reached quickly - perhaps not in my lifetime', and therefore, 'as long as these weapons exist, the United States will maintain a safe, secure and effective arsenal to deter any adversary, and guarantee that defence to our allies'. Could there be a more perfect example of an Obama-style syllogism?

The Obama administration's proposal for 'nuclear arms reduction', for which it is negotiating with Russia, merely aims to reduce the warheads of strategic nuclear weapons, which it sees as 'dinosaurian armaments of the Cold War type' (Russia's warheads exceed those of the US in number). In reality, behind the reduction talks with the Russian government, this government is bent on upgrading its tactical nuclear weapons for 'use in combat situations', which are exempted from the list of reduction. It is thus steamrollering its way to qualitatively strengthening its nuclear capability as a whole.

Another purpose of the Obama administration is to prevent North Korea, Iran and other 'anti-American' states from possessing nuclear arms under the pretext of 'nuclear non-proliferation' and contain these adversaries. This imperialist government is still maintaining the double standard, which allows India and Pakistan to possess nuclear weapons but prohibits North Korea and Iran from doing the same. Obama's so-called strengthening of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty based on US cooperation with China and Russia is only aimed at asserting the state egoism of five nuclear powers, i.e. the US, Russia, China, France and the UK - especially that of the world's greatest nuclear superpower, imperialist America.

In a word, Obama's initiative for 'nuclear arms reduction' is just one side of his two-faced policy; it goes hand in hand with US 'arms expansion', namely the qualitative strengthening of its nuclear military power against China and Russia (with its core in the deployment of missile defences, along with the upgrading of tactical nuclear weapons).

The Obama government is merely intending to lead nuclear reduction talks in a form that is advantageous to US state interests; that is, to maintain its overwhelming ascendancy in nuclear military power with a view to reviving the militarist empire of America's unipolar dominance over the world. It is also so designed, amid the unprecedented slump in the US economy, to cut down even a bit of maintenance and storage costs of nuclear stockpiles, since they have become a serious financial burden for the US government, which is already expending huge sums in bailing out financial institutions and the former Big Three auto monopolies.

3.

President Obama says, 'As long as nuclear weapons exist, the United States will maintain a safe, secure and effective arsenal to deter any adversary, and guarantee that defence to our allies.' As is clearly seen in this statement, the Obama administration is fully intending to maintain its ascendancy in nuclear military capability over Russia and China - seeing them as major 'adversaries' that block the way to a revival of its unipolar dominance - while it is trying to make use of 'reduction talks' as a means to impose restrictions on these states that are intensely reinforcing their nuclear military capabilities against US imperialism.

For this very reason, competition in the strengthening of nuclear military power has just entered a new phase between the imperialist state of America, aiming to restore its global dominance, and the governments of China and Russia, scheming to end America's domination of the world as a sole superpower.

The Obama administration is scheming to deploy more missile defences in Japan and Hawaii under the pretext of North Korea's movements for nuclear testing and ballistic missile launches. As for the deployment of missile defences in Central Europe, however, it is taking an equivocal attitude, saying that it has not yet made its final decision. The Putin-Medvedev-led Russian government, meanwhile, is politically shaking the Obama administration, stating that it is ready to accept a drastic reduction of nuclear armaments if the US abandons the plan of the deployment. By saying that 'the relationship between strategic offensive weapons and defensive weapons [i.e. missile defences] should be clearly laid out', it is demanding that the arms reduction list should include strategic delivery vehicles as well as warheads, and that the US should halt its deployment of missile defences in Central Europe. In addition, with the aim of breaking the US control of outer space, the basis of its ascendancy in nuclear capabilities, the Russian government (in cooperation with the Chinese government) has embarked on an expansion of armaments in outer space, including the joint launches of intelligence-gathering or reconnaissance satellites, etc.

Amid this situation, the Chinese government led by Hu Jintao has started building an aircraft carrier for the first time. It is also engaged in developing various armaments, including most advanced anti-ship ballistic missiles (ASBMs). It finds itself confronted by the Obama government's offensive to reorganize and strengthen its military bases in Guam and Okinawa (and on the mainland of Japan) as frontline bases for attacking China and Russia, followed by its subordinate ally, the Aso government of Japan. In opposition to this offensive, the Chinese government is strengthening its nuclear military power against the US for the immediate purpose of securing command of the East and South China Seas. (China's military expenditure is now the second largest in the world.)

In alliance with each other, the rulers of these two states - China and Russia - are strengthening and expanding the SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organization) as a virtual military alliance. (Russian rulers are also intent on forming a joint force of the CSTO (Collective Security Treaty Organization) made up of CIS member states.) The SCO summit, held in Yekaterinburg, Russia, in June, was attended for the first time by Sri Lanka and Belarus, in their capacity as 'dialogue partners'. Chinese and Russian rulers are thus steadily expanding an international encircling net against US imperialism.

Clashes between the US, on the one hand, and China and Russia on the other are not limited to such military or political rivalries. Hit by the tsunami of financial turmoil, with its hypocentre in the US imperialist economy, the world is plunged today into an unprecedented economic crisis - a synergistic aggravation of international financial bankruptcy with a simultaneous worldwide depression. In the midst of this unheard-of economic crisis, conflicts are intensifying between the three poles of (1) the US-Japan alliance, (2) the group of emerging and developing economies led by China and Russia, and (3) the European Union led by the Franco-German axis. Against US imperialism, which shows a growing tendency towards trade protectionism, as shown in the 'Buy American' provisions, Chinese and European rulers are running their course towards forming or strengthening their respective economic spheres based on the yuan and the euro, respectively. Above all, China's rulers have started to challenge the US Empire, which has until now arrogantly imposed American standards upon the rest of the world. Clearly, China now has launched an offensive to seize economic supremacy from US imperialism by strengthening ties with Russia, its ally.

Right now, Chinese and Russian rulers are challenging the dollar-based international monetary system, which has supported US domination over the world. They are even daring to undermine it. The Hu-led Chinese government maintains that SDRs (special drawing rights from the International Monetary Fund) should be made to function as an international currency of settlement, and has in fact disclosed its intention to gradually replace some US treasury bonds in its foreign currency reserves with IMF-issued bonds. Keeping step with this action taken by the Chinese government, Russian President Medvedev declared that new reserve currencies must be created in addition to the dollar (at the first summit meeting of the so-called BRIC countries, following the SCO summit). He called on the attendant leaders to give an additional, collective blow to the dollar system that is already in decline. The Russian government is determined to take the initiative in selling its US treasury bonds, which make up 30% of its foreign reserves.

Moreover, there is also an intensifying scramble between the three poles in their bid to capture natural resources, including petroleum, iron ore, copper, various rare metals (closely linked to the development of military technology) and uranium. The dispatch of troops off Somalia by US, Japanese, Chinese and other governments in the name of 'anti-piracy missions' is inseparably connected with this scramble for resources in the Middle East and Africa.

Today, our world faces a terrible crisis - that of the outbreak of a third World War - fermented from all these multiplying clashes: the newly started nuclear arms race between the US and China-Russia, the currency = economic war between the three poles, and the scramble between them for resources. Worse still, power holders and monopolies in the US, Japan, and the EU are accelerating their neo-colonialist incursion into developing countries under the cover of the 'Clean Development Mechanism (CDM)', while each imposes its own convenient measures to cope with the problems of the global environment upon the other, only to promote destruction. On top of that, competition is unfolding between the US-Japan, France and Russia in the export of nuclear plant - or, in other words, exporting the danger of nuclear disasters.

Remember the war between Russia and Georgia in August 2008! No matter how eloquently Obama speaks by stringing together flowery words, such as 'a world without nuclear weapons', nuclear 'disarmament' and 'dialogue' with enemy countries, his real intention is to restore American imperialism's domination of the world. And in rivalry with this imperialist state, China and Russia - one with the slogan 'a superpower in the 21st century' and the other under the banner 'the restoration of Russia as a great power' - are colluding with each other and now launching an offensive to seize hegemony from the US. Precisely for this reason, the seeds of conflict that could detonate another world war will surely grow all over the globe, unless people in the world rise in a struggle against war.

4.

The Obama administration has been high-handedly imposing one demand after the other on the imperialist rulers of Japan, its sole servile state in the world, with the aim of harnessing the economic and military power of this state to restore its world domination. It has been pressing Japanese rulers to give their full support for measures to revive the US economy (including the large-scale purchase of US treasury bonds), while it has repeatedly demanded that they strengthen the new US-Japan military alliance as an offensive and defensive alliance against China and Russia. Its demands include the nationwide deployment and actual use of missile defences, the dispatch of Japanese Self-Defence Force troops off Somalia to vie with China's naval dispatch, all-out assistance in redeploying US Forces (especially Japan's $30 billion grant for the same), and so on. - The Aso-led LDP government has accepted all of these demands out of a burning ambition to promote the imperialist state of Japan to a military power that is capable of engaging in war alongside the US.

Under the pretext of 'taking countermeasures against North Korea's nuclear weapons and missiles', Prime Minister Aso, together with the American imperialists, is consolidating the actual operation of the MD system, intending to place US and Japanese forces on a permanent quasi-war footing. Furthermore, he is prepared to deploy more PAC-3 and SM-3 missiles while trying to arouse fears over North Korea among the Japanese people. He does this by mobilizing the mass media to issue reports almost every day, as if a hail of Rodong and Taepodong missiles could drop on Japanese soil at any time.

By so doing, Aso is making a desperate bid to prolong the life of his Cabinet by even a single day, as its approval rating has dropped below 20%.

5.

In opposition to these last-ditch reactionary offensives mounted by the 'dying' Aso government, which is treading a relentless path to a simultaneous downfall of the US and Japan, we, workers and students in Japan, are creating antiwar and politico-economic struggles at one and the same time, by unifying these two struggles. We are advancing these struggles by exposing the fact that this government's military policies, aimed at promoting Japan to a state 'that is capable of engaging in war alongside the US', are inseparably linked to its economic policies, which are plunging the toiling masses into poverty.

Because of the Liberal Democratic Party's lengthy misgovernment of the nation, the anger of the toiling masses in Japan is rising up more furiously than ever. Yet the opposition movement remains as stagnant as ever, owing to the inexcusable degeneration of the labour aristocrats of Rengo (Japanese Trade Union Confederation) and the Fuwa-Shii leadership of the Japanese Communist Party (JCP), now distracted in expectation of the birth of a DPJ (Democratic Party of Japan) government and unwilling to issue a single call for the overthrow of the Aso government. The JCP, in particular, has gone so far as to issue an appalling statement in which it ingratiatingly 'hopes for the healthy development of capitalism', despite the fact that the great evil of contemporary capitalism has just been laid bare. These converted Stalinists have set out such nonsense in a bid to curry favour with the 'conservative stratum', out of a single-minded desire to share power in a DPJ-led government. This deplorable state of affairs must be broken through decisively with one blow. In our firm determination, we are fighting by calling on working people in this country to rise in antiwar, anti-Security Treaty (between the US-Japan) struggle and politico-economic struggles, in order to overthrow the reactionary Aso government.

Our slogans for the former struggles are: Stop the placement of American and Japanese forces on a quasi-war footing against North Korea! No to the dispatch of Japanese troops off Somalia! Oppose the deployment of missile defences! Oppose the strengthening of the new US-Japan military alliance as an offensive and defensive alliance against China and Russia!

Those for the latter are: Stop the Aso government bailing out monopolies with the money by the sweat of workers' brow! No increase in the consumption tax!

For us, working people in Japan (the only country to have suffered the horrors of the atomic bomb), the duplicity in Obama's advocacy of a 'world without nuclear weapons' is crystal clear - no matter how artfully he may have spoken when he said that, 'as the only nuclear power to have used a nuclear weapon, the United States has a moral responsibility'.

It is nothing but empty illusion to harbour expectations and imagine that the 'abolition of nuclear weapons' can be achieved through talks for 'nuclear arms reduction' between the power holders of the US and China/Russia, disregarding the confrontation between these states.

This illusion prevails due to the fallacy whereby nuclear weapons are seen as the root of the 'threat' to human society or peace. It arises when these weapons are seen in isolation from the very root cause, i.e. the confrontation between these states (the US vs. China and Russia), each of which has armed itself with nuclear weapons against the other.

The only, genuine power that can create truly permanent peace lies in the advancement of our struggle - a united struggle fought across borders by working people all over the world to smash the nuclear arms race between the US and China-Russia.

We call on you, workers of the world, people all over the world!

Expose the duplicitous nature of the talks for 'nuclear arms reduction' between the US and Russia. Stand up to fight under a united banner: 'Oppose the newly started nuclear arms race between the US and China-Russia'!

With anger we denounce the Kim-led North Korean government's policy of brinkmanship, including nuclear testing and long-range missile launches. But, at the same time, we resolutely oppose the quasi-war footing set up on the pretext of North Korea's behaviour by US and Japanese imperialists.

Never let the Obama government act to send in more reinforcements to rebuild its armed occupation of Afghanistan. Never again let it perpetrate the murder of Afghan people. Denounce the continued presence of US occupation forces in Iraq despite its promise to withdraw in the near future.

Let us advance resolute antiwar struggles in solidarity with Muslim peoples in the Middle East, who are boldly fighting 'anti-US imperialist, anti-Zionist' struggles, to stop armed attacks by the Zionist Netanyahu-led Israeli government against Hamas in Palestine, Hezbollah in Lebanon, and the Shiite Islamic state of Iran.

We, Japanese workers and students, will hold our 47th International Antiwar Assembly on August 2nd. On this occasion, we call on you, workers and toiling people all over the world, to rise together with us.

Today's world is increasingly mired in war and poverty, taking on an aspect that we could call an era of 'new confrontation between the US and China-Russia'. We must overcome this crisis in the dark 21st-century world - a crisis rooted in the self-destruction of the Stalinist USSR that called itself a 'socialist state'. With the aim of overcoming this crisis, unite across borders and rise in struggles against war and impoverishment, on the basis of proletarian internationalism!

Delegation of the International Leninist Trotskyist Fraction (FLTI)
The gist of the speech

The International Coordination Secretariat of the International Leninist Trotskyist Fraction presents our fervent revolutionary internationalist greeting to the Assembly. Our organization is composed by Partido Obrero Internacionalista (POI) from Chile, Workers International Vanguard League (WIVL) from South Africa, Liga Trotskista Internacional (LTI) from Bolivia, Communist Workers Group (CWG) from New Zealand, Fraccicon Trotskista - Vanguardia Proletaria (FT-VP) from Brazil, Humanists for Revolutionary Socialism (HRS) from the USA, Liga Trotskista Internacionalista (LTI) from Peru, and Nucleo Revolucionario Internacionalista (NRI) and Liga Obrera Internacionalista - Democracia Obrera (LOI-DO) from Argentina.

We spent 8 years to come here and meet our comrades in Japan. When a revolution started in Argentina in 2001, we were a small group. In this difficult moment, we received a letter of solidarity from comrade Kuroda. It is impossible now to say thank you to him, but we do not forget this support.

Our congress voted to answer to your call and participate in the Assembly with the slogan: Unite across borders and rise in struggles against war and impoverishment, on the basis of proletarian internationalism!

Today we are facing a new anniversary of August 1945, when US imperialism threw two nuclear bombs in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, massacring over 300,000 workers and people. Now imperialism is sending thousands of bombs of Hiroshima and Nagasaki against the working class all around the world. One billion of people are starving in Africa and other countries. In the last two months, millions of people missed their job.

We have four proposals.
(1) Capitalists are imposing dismissals, intensified labour and poverty upon the world working class. Against the real 'sliding scale of suspensions and dismissals' that the labour aristocracy want to impose, we must counter-pose the cry of fight: Capitalists pay for the crisis! Expropriation without compensation and under workers' control of all factories that close or dismiss! No more money to the banks and capitalists! Expropriation without compensation of the super-banks and financial oligarchy! We must expropriate Fuji, Toyota and Sony, whose factories Paris workers occupied! No more loans of billions of dollars for the capitalist parasites when one billion of people are starving around the world. The wages no longer recover even the force of labour for the next day. Immediate and big increase of wages for everybody! Equal work equal wage, for women, youth and immigrants in the whole working class of the world!

(2) Let's cry with Karl Liebknecht. Water and fire cannot be mixed! There is nothing that the exploited masses can do together with their executioners to free themselves! Down with the collaborationist bourgeois regimes in the Middle East including the Iranian Ayatollahs! They support the Zionist fascist state of Israel. Hamas does not call a conference of all Palestinians across the region to unify their resistance.

Down with the popular fronts that submit the Bolivian people to its bourgeoisie and US-French imperialism! Down with the pacts to restore capitalism in Cuba between Castro brothers and the Obama-led US Democratic Party! Down with the pact between Stalinism and the Democratic Party of Japan for Japanese imperialism to increase the offensive against Japanese proletariat and the offensive, together with the US, against people in Korea, China and in all Asia!

(3) We respect the Japanese youth who are fighting to remove military bases in Okinawa. We call upon you to organize a demonstration against the military coup in Honduras. There are powerful US military bases in Honduras and Central America to be mobilized for oppressing the working people. We call on Japanese workers and people to support the fight of people in Latin America.

(4) A fight for socialism by working people in North and South Korea is the only way to realize a political revolution to down with the Kim Jong Il regime.

Japan is under the nuclear umbrella of its US imperialist ally. This nuclear umbrella is also against the working class in China and Korea.

On the anniversary of Hiroshima and Nagasaki we say the truth. The betrayal of social democracy and Stalinism opened the road to the two imperialist wars. Stalinism did it giving away German, Spanish and French revolutions during the 1930s and, especially, usurping the heroic revolution of the Soviets in Russia in 1917.

There is no doubt that if a proletarian revolution doesn't stop it - in this planet with too many imperialist powers - capitalism will survive not with peace but with new wars and even new holocaust and barbarism. A third world war will start like the second finished: with bombs as in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Previously, we see Africa with wars, where imperialist powers encourage different ethnics and native bourgeois fractions. They use them to keep their plunder of minerals or diamonds and other precious stones. These commodities are disputed by US, French and Japanese imperialist gangs. The revolutionary youth and workers of Japan, gathering together at this assembly, must stand up with class hate against that massacre and genocide of our class brothers in Congo and Zimbabwe, which are equal to 10 Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

To stop the holocaust and the use of nuclear weapons by imperialist powers, the road cannot be the peace in general, as Stalinism used to cry out loud, but fight for world revolution. There is the only way to stop nuclear weapons of France, the US or Russia (acting on behalf of Germany), or of the Zionist counterrevolutionary state of Israel, and to prevent the arming of Japanese imperialism. Revolution and the fight of the working class in the imperialist countries will, house by house, with the rifle of the workers militia, disarm the imperialist army. Because the workers manufacture the weapons, use them and transport them. We must tell the truth: the proletarian revolution in the imperialist countries is the only way for nuclear disarmament. For the fight for restoration of the proletarian dictatorship in the former USSR and China. To conquer peace and bread, the only way is to expropriate the expropriators.

For that reason, we came here to make the proposals to this assembly. They were already done by the revolutionary workers and youth in the Athens barricades, the workers and peasants in Madagascar, Martinique and Guadalupe, and those who occupied factories in France: 'The spark in Athens, burns Paris'. And let us affirm together: Burn London, New York and Tokyo! We want a Vietnam in the Middle East! For the sands of the desert in the Middle East to be the graves of all the imperialist invasion troops! The US working class, break up with Obama to rise up again! Break up with the leadership of the World Social Forum, with the renegades of Trotskyism who put the North American masses at the feet of the US imperialist butchers of the Democratic Party, the ones that really supported Bush and today continue their offensive all over the planet!

You revolutionary comrades, workers and youth of Japan, have a responsibility to make this call. It is an honour to fight with you. It is an honour to be here. Let's do together this call. You have the authority to coordinate with your brothers in the US West Coast to launch together the struggle to break with the bourgeoisie. Revolutionary workers of the world, unite! Prepare a counteroffensive of the world working class against the capitalists in crisis! You have the authority to make this call! The international working class needs a new leadership to succeed, a general staff to fight against the exploiters and to show the path for the victories and not that of the defeats.

Victory for the International Socialist Revolution!

For the working class and the exploited to live, imperialism must die!

The liberation of the workers will be achieved by the workers themselves!

Down with the labour aristocracy, the World Social Forum, Stalinism and the renegades of Trotskyism, the ones that sell out the world proletarian combat!

For an International Conference of the Principled Trotskyists and the revolutionary workers organizations!

Our congress voted to answer to your call and participate in the Assembly called with the slogan: Unite across borders and rise in struggles against war and impoverishment, on the basis of proletarian internationalism!

Today we are facing a new commemoration anniversary of 6th August 1945, when US imperialism threw two nuclear bombs in Hiroshima and Nagasaki massacring over 300,000 workers, elderly, women and kids. This genocide attack had the objective to consolidate USA as winner of the imperialist Second World War and as dominant power; also to discipline Stalinist bureaucracy of Moscow as servant of Roosevelt-Truman and Churchill. But above all, it had the objective to smash Japanese proletariat that was rising up, which was threatening with overthrowing the Emperor and Japanese imperialist bourgeoisie defeated in the war and move forward to the victory of the proletarian revolution.

That is how US "democratic" imperialism -as Stalinism liked to call it to submit the proletariat during the war to one of the factions of imperialist capital that were in dispute- resolved into its favour the imperialist war for the booty and the influence zones against German-Japan axis. But to be honest, with these lessons, the parody of the existence of "democratic" or "fascist" imperialisms is over, but only imperialist powers that use fascism or democracy to solve under better conditions their commercial disputes, zones of influence or to define how the world working class and oppressed people are better defeated. Thus, the "democratic axe" bombed Hiroshima y Nagasaky using nuclear weapons while the German axe massacred more than 20 millions of Soviet workers and peasants; that was the price that USSR paid to stop the German occupation over its territory.

After 64 years of the second human butchery in the planet, we are seeing the imperialist powers that yesterday were in dispute coexist within new blocks now according to their interests around the world. After Hiroshima`s and Nagasaky`s bombs we have seen the Japanese imperialists -who massacred and tortured millions of exploited such as in Filipinas and Korea and occupied China, disputing with USA the Pacific territories- sharing their business with the United States, supporting and funding his military adventures. Because for them capital have no borders but "business are business". The imperialist bourgeoisie of Japan that has the second GDP in the world in partnership with US imperialism share the control of the Pacific with 135 US military bases with 54.000 soldiers all across Japan including Okinawa. For USA in the world economy and the Pacific there is no disarmament for the Japanese imperialism. It is under the nuclear protection of its US imperialist partnership. They share the booty of the trade in the Pacific and the oil routes full of blood by the imperialist troops of occupation and the world economy. Continue. See the full text.

Revolutionary Marxists in Britain

July 22nd 2009, London, Britain

We, Revolutionary Marxists in Britain, send our comradely greetings to the 47th Anti-War Assembly.

The struggle of the working class against capitalist attacks in the world capitalist recession is increasingly one for basic rights and to maintain living standards.

We declare our solidarity with all workers who struggle for union rights and to maintain and improve wages and conditions.

In Britain, the construction workers at the Lindsey Oil Refinery, owned by the oil giant Total, held an illegal strike. The strike was for trade union rights and the defence of wages and conditions. Workers at least 30 other sites went on strike in solidarity with them.

The strike forced the bosses to rescind the 647 sackings at the Lindsey Oil Refinery. The workers resisted attempts by the neo-Nazi British National Party to exploit the employers' importation of "posted" workers from Portugal and Italy to create racist divisions in the working class. The great majority of the striking workers recognised that their enemy was the employers and the government, not "foreign" workers.

Strikes by railway workers, including London Underground, and post office workers continue against job cuts and the worsening of pay conditions.

We agree with the Overseas Appeal that the election of Obama has changed nothing in US imperialist policy. Britain has withdrawn troops from Iraq, but has intensified military aggression in Afghanistan.

US and British imperialism continue their activities everywhere. There can be no doubt that the CIA was involved in the coup that deposed Manuel Zelaya, the president of Honduras.

All over the world, workers are struggling against attempts by the capitalist class to "resolve" the economic crisis by sackings and pay cuts. To defeat the capitalist offensive, workers need a revolutionary class consciousness which will confront global imperialist aggression as well as their own immediate employers.

We fully support the Overseas Appeal's call to "create an international antiwar struggle" against the nuclear arms race. We fully endorse its call to "unite across borders and rise in struggles against war and impoverishment, on the basis of proletarian internationalism!"

Afghanistan Socialist Association (ASA)

31 July, 2009, Kabul, Afghanistan

Dear comrades and friends,

Afghanistan Socialist Association (ASA) conveys its fraternally and militants greetings to all of you and Japanese anti war and anti imperialism people. We representing from Anti Occupation Resistance in Afghanistan a country where its innocent children, women and people have been burning in the flames of war waged by US/NATO with the heavy contribution of Japanese government, express our strong solidarity and sympathy with the victims of Hiroshima- Nagasaki events and all People of Japan.

US/NATO imperialists to revenge the 9/11 event 2974 causalities, military occupied Afghanistan and since October 2001 have been killed more than 70000 people of Afghanistan and in spite of taking power by Obama the strategy of tragedy in Afghanistan with no "change" has been following by US/NATO war-mongers.

What the West and imperialist media give to the people a picture from Afghanistan is completely false and fraudulent. The wild military operation and bombardment conducted by US/NATO only kill, injure the innocent children, women and destroy the homes and property of civilians.

The US/NATO along with their other plundering allies including Japan under the name of "war on terror" and "restoring democracy" and "peace mission" not only have not brought the stability and democracy but they themselves committed heinous crimes, terror and violated the basic principles of democracy in Afghanistan.

After 8 years of US/NATO war and their military presence in Afghanistan, their gifts to the people of Afghanistan are more barbarous killing, disability, home destruction, internal displacement, poverty, beggary, unemployment, high prices, crimes, corruption, narcotic production and trafficking and finally domination of a mafia, corrupt, warlord, and criminal gang in the shape of government on the people of Afghanistan.

As there is left only 20 days for US/NATO sponsored presidential "Election" in Afghanistan, around 41 candidates most of them are backed by of the imperialist countries. In fact there are not the people of Afghanistan to elect their coming president but are the imperialists that determine the fate and future of Afghanistan!

Therefore, the people of Afghanistan do not show their interest to under occupation election and that is why most of them have not received the polling cards yet. Because the people of Afghanistan are not optimistic to the future under occupation and prepare themselves for the worst likely challenges.

The people of Afghanistan and the Anti Occupation Resistance of Afghanistan expect the Japanese people and anti war organizations to align with anti occupation resistance in Afghanistan and demand from the Japanese government to stop its support to barbarous, stupid and destructive war in Afghanistan. The Japanese people as victims of US imperialism in the past (Hiroshima-Nagasaki historical tragedies) can easily understand the awful physically and mentally impacts of war and occupation of a poor country such as Afghanistan.

Dear friends,

Yours struggle and resistance in Japan, surely inspire other people in the world to stand up against the war and aggression and against the deploying their troops, military, financially and logistics support of their governments to the illegal and made war in Afghanistan. We request all of you and the Japanese progressive forces to keep their solidarity with people and progressive forces in Afghanistan and support the legitimized anti occupation resistance of Afghanistan.

-Long live Anti Occupation Resistance in Afghanistan!

-Long live Anti War movements in Japan and around the world!

-Long live solidarity between the people and progressive forces of Japan and Afghanistan!

-Support the ASA initiated and launched "Assistance Campaign for US/NATO War Victims Children and Women in Afghanistan"!

Workers' Revolutionary Party (EEK)

August 1st 2009, Athens, Greece

Dear Comrades,

The Central Committee of EEK, the Greek Section of the Coordinating Committee for the Re-foundation of the Fourth International (CRFI), salutes with the deepest respect and grief the memory of all the martyrs of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the victims of the most atrocious crime against humanity perpetrated by US imperialism and by world capitalism as a whole.

This unforgettable and unforgivable catastrophe came out not solely of the 2nd imperialist world war but as well from the process that led to that war: the Great Depression, the historic world crisis of capitalism in the 1930s. From 2007 onwards humanity is plunged again in a crisis that the capitalists themselves recognize as the worst crisis of their system from the '30s, if not the worst economic crisis in the entire history.

Already in the prelude of the current crisis, in the previous 15 years, imperialism had launched a series of barbaric wars against the peoples of Yugoslavia, Iraq, Afghanistan, Lebanon and Palestine. It is predictable that the crisis now drives to even worst disasters.

But the oppressed and above all the younger generation of the working class does not give up without a struggle. Eight months ago, in December 2008, our country and Europe as a whole were shaken by an unprecedented mass social revolt led by the youth against the brutality of the capitalist police State but also against the capitalist system as a whole that condemns workers and youth to a miserable present and an awful future. The head of the IMF as well as the main capitalist leaders in the West correctly saw in that event the first political explosion of the current world capitalist crisis.

Let us continue on this path of class struggle! The capitalists should pay for the crisis! The workers should take the power and open a way out from the catastrophe threatening again the entire humanity!

Never again Hiroshima and Nagasaki! Down with imperialism! Forward to the world socialist revolution

On behalf of the CC of EEK

News and Letters Committees

July 26th 2009, Chicago, USA

Dear Comrades:

The members of News and Letters Committees, the U.S. Marxist-Humanist organization founded by Raya Dunayevskaya 53 years ago, send our revolutionary greetings to the 47th International Antiwar Assembly meeting in Japan. It is with special pride that we call attention to our long-established solidarity with you in the international antiwar struggle.

Like the worldwide economic crisis, the wars raging today grow out of the soil of a decaying capitalist system that has long since outlived its usefulness to humanity. Barack Obama, who began his run for president of the U.S. as an antiwar candidate but today holds the reins of commander-in-chief, is now repeating Bush's Iraq "surge," this time in Afghanistan. Obama has also stepped up bombings in Pakistan, despite fears it will destabilize the country and strengthen the Islamist insurgency within.

Nor can a truly antiwar alternative be found in the reactionary opponents of U.S. imperialism, from Al Qaeda to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to the Chinese Communist Party. There is no sharp boundary between conflicts between states and the wars waged by rulers against their own people. The drive of more countries to obtain nuclear weapons, and the continuing threatening existence of stockpiles of those implements of total destruction in the face of humanity's horror at their use against Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945, can only be understood as part of a system of militarism aimed most of all at oppressing the masses at home. The truly decisive division is that between the rulers and the ruled in each country. The only genuine opposition to war comes from the revolt and resistance of the people, whether that be the uprising in Iran sparked by the stolen election or the mass resistance against the coup in Honduras. As News and Letters Committees has asked since our founding, "Are you with the people struggling for a totally new way of life, or with capitalism fighting to perpetuate itself?"

Our opposition to war must therefore spell out not only what we are against but what we are for. Our solidarity with the revolutionary comrades in Japan has always revolved around that, from exchanges of ideas on the question of state-capitalism, to the 1964 Japanese translation and publication of Marxism and Freedom, to every yearly message to the International Antiwar Assembly, always stressing that the identification of both Russia and China as state-capitalist societies would not stop at the economic analysis but continue to a recognition and embrace of the philosophy of Marx's humanism.

We extend our strong solidarity with your call to "unite across borders and rise in struggles against war and impoverishment, on the basis of proletarian internationalism" and sign our greetings: For Freedom and a new world built on human foundations,

Dear co-workers,

Friends and co-workers attending the 47th International Antiwar Assembly, I send my warm personal greetings to all those who in the Japanese movement who struggle against the military aims of the major nuclear powers, and who work for complete and total disarmament.

I support a policy of demanding that the United States, which brought the world into the nuclear age by its unilateral actions on August 6 and 9, 1945, should also, by unilateral action, begin the process of nuclear disarmament.

I believe that the objective of disarmament, both nuclear and conventional, is a concept that is revolutionary and has wide appeal to the peoples of the world.
May your Assembly be a great success.

Peace,

Have a good meeting.

The Workers International League would like to offer our greetings of solidarity to the 47th International Antiwar Assembly. Being based in the United States, we see up close the false promise of "change" that Barack Obama has made his slogan. With the continuing war in Iraq, and the escalation of the war in Afghanistan, it is clear Obama is not the "antiwar President." We join you in the fight for a world free of imperialist wars, a world united under a Socialist program. Only the working class can stop the wars! Workers of the world unite!

July 29th, 2009, Durban, South Africa

Revolutionary Greetings all comrades.

I want to take this opportunity to wish you a success during your deliberation in the Antiwar Assembly. Your meeting is going to take place while the world is facing big economic crisis, caused by the economic downturn and the continuation of wars which is waged by American imperialist and its allies in Iraq and Afghanistan. In Palestine the Zionist under Netanyahu is continuing to occupy the Palestine despite the outcry from all over the world. The nuclear race between America under Obama and Russia under Medvedev is hotting up despite the hypocrisy of talks of nuclear reduction. The race now is joined by China, North Korea, and Iran. That poses a big danger to the whole world, that is why your Antiwar Assemblies is very important. Here in South Africa we are facing the waive of strikes by the public workers union, which is, South African Municipality Workers Union which is affiliated to Congress of South African Trade Unions and other small unions. They are demanding wage increases. They brought most of the cities to standstill. That is the biggest challenge to Zuma regime, which has three months in office. Despite this, our country has become a land of protest, simply because of poverty, non delivery services and empty promises by the government. The people are sick and tired to see ANC politicians enjoying life which is more than their counterparts in the first world countries, while they live in grinding poverty.

Your meeting is going to lay bare the hypocrisy of Obama, when he tells the world that he stands for nuclear free world, while on the other hand is doing opposite. Obviously, he stood for the continuation of Bush policies of perpetrating of American domination of the whole world. I appeal to all students and workers of the world to rise up behind your banner and stop the repetition of tragedies of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in our life time. Is the time now, that all must unite for socialist, nuclear free world, where there will be no exploitation, wars, poverty etc.

Forward with socialist, nuclear free world.

A World to Win

August 2nd 2009, London, Britain

Dear comrades and friends in Japan

A World to Win in Britain sends revolutionary greetings to your Assembly. As the global economic and financial crisis of capitalism deepens, the dangers of nuclear war grow.

September 1, 2009 will be the 70th anniversary of the outbreak of World War II, during which 70 million people were killed. It ended with two atomic bombs dropped in Japan which killed 220,000 civilians.

We must learn the lessons of history. In the 1930s, the worldwide depression led to fascism and militarism in Europe and Asia and inevitably to another imperialist war in which tens of millions were killed. It was only after this wanton destruction and slaughter that capitalism was able to create conditions for the post-war boom.

Now, in the wake of financial meltdown and credit crunch, global capitalism is facing a crisis greater in scale and scope than the 1930s. You are right to draw attention to the drive to war that lies behind all phoney talk of nuclear disarmament between the United States, Russia and China.

We must redouble our efforts to build an international revolutionary movement to put an end to global capitalism and its political cronies. We must work to create a worldwide community of states based on co-operation, social ownership and control and a new political democracy in place of the corrupt capitalist states we live under.

This is the only way to prevent another catastrophic war.

Thanks for inviting us to send a message.

Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine

July 30th 2009, Palestine

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine sends its greetings and solidarity to the 47th International Antiwar Assembly and our comrades in the Japan Revolutionary Communist League.

The people's movements in Japan and Palestine have a long history of struggle and solidarity, and we extend our hands of mutual solidarity, struggle and confrontation of capitalism and imperialism to your assembly and to the struggling Japanese people.

From the working people of Japan who have taken to the streets to stand against war, occupation, imperialism and Zionism, to the fighting Japanese comrades Kozo Okamoto and the martyrs Tsuyoshi Okudaira and Yasuyuki Yasuda, who gave their lives in the international struggle for the liberation of Palestine, the link between our struggling Palestinian Arab people and the Japanese masses is strong and based on our commitment to defeat imperialism in all of its forms.

It is notable that your assembly takes place on the 64th anniversary of the U.S. atomic-bomb slaughters at Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and we express our solidarity with the Japanese masses and outrage at this great crime of imperialism and reiterate our dedication to free our region and our world of the nuclear terrorism of imperialism and Zionism. In Palestine, the occupier's nuclear weapons exist as a constant threat against all Arab people, as well as the people of Iran, alongside the ongoing threats of U.S. imperialism.

Across our Arab homeland, the resistance of our people in Iraq, in Lebanon and in Palestine continues in direct confrontation of the occupier and its patrons in Washington, Tokyo and the capitals of imperialist and capitalist ruling nations. The silence of the so-called international community - more accurately the international ruling class - has risen to active complicity in the siege against our people, the denial of our rights, the building of settlements, the attempts to liquidate the right to return and the attempts to divide our people.

We greet your Assembly today with firm commitment to our common struggle to liberate our peoples and our lands from the chains of Zionism, imperialism and capitalism. Our resistance and our struggle will continue until victory, until return, until liberation!

Solidarity between the people of Japan and the people of Palestine!
Victory is ours!

the Socialist Movement of the Workers - New Left

August 7th 2009, Argentina

Dear comrades:

We send you our solidarity to the Assembly and to your struggle to shatter the newly started nuclear arms race between the United States and China-Russia.

We also support your efforts to expose the deception of the US-Russia disarmament talks.

Both traps are instruments of the capitalist imperialism and his associates to support their domination on the hard-working class and the peoples of the planet and, especially, to try to revert their deep economic and political crisis.

As part of the battle for a socialism of the 21st century in the whole world, and of the need to advance in an international regrouping of the revolutionaries, you get our very brotherly greetings.

International Leninist Trotskyist Fraction

To the 47th International Assembly against the war
To the comrades of the Self-determinate Federation of student Associations of Japan (Zengakuren)
To the comrades of the Youth Committee against the war
To the comrades of the Revolutionary Communist League of Japan, Revolutionary Marxist Fraction

Comrades:
We present our most fervent revolutionary internationalist greeting to the Assembly. The message that we bring here was voted as a resolution of the Congress of Foundation of our organization -International Leninist Trotskyists Fraction (FLTI: Fraccion Leninista Trotskista Internacional)-; composed by Partido Obrero Internacionalista (POI) from Chile, Workers International Vanguard League from South Africa (WIVL), Liga Trotskista Internacional (LTI) from Bolivia, Communist Workers Group from New Zealand, Fraccion Trotskista-Vanguardia Proletaria (FT-VP) from Brazil, Humanist for Revolutionary Socialism (HRS) from EE.UU, Liga Trotskista Internacionalista (LTI) Peru, and Nucleo Revolucionario Internacionalista (NRI) y la Liga Obrera Internacionalista - Democracia Obrera (LOI-DO) from Argentina.

From 1989 on, US imperialism resolved in its favour the character of the Second World War, at this moment, allied with Japan and followed by the other imperialist powers. Because what Hitler and Germany were not able to do with the tanks, the US imperialism did along side its new Japanese ally supported by Germany and France when with the loans of the IMF and introduction of goods transformed the Stalinist bureaucracy into its direct agent and a new restorationist bourgeois class within the workers states. This time, they altogether, with Stalinism already transformed in a new ruling class in partnership with Citibank, Bank of Japan and Bundesbank shared out Russia, China, and the Eastern former workers states transforming them in big maquila that gives millions of slave workers to the world economy like China. Russian gas and oil of Putin is in the hands of German BASF´s, that kept the pipelines from Turkey and Mar Negro-Black See- and so Germany guarantee gas and oil for them and to supply Europe. The China of the "red mandarins" has put millions of Chinese workers in concentration camps, in the factories, those jails of the transnationals and the new counterrevolutionary Chinese bourgeoisie.

The former deformed Eastern workers states have been left as the backyard of Europe, Germany in a fierce dispute with EEUU for the oil routes and gas of Russia and of the former Soviet Muslim republics of the USSR and Caucasus. And this was not pacific. It was resolved applying counterrevolutionary blows, bombings of NATO like in the Balkans, massacres on the part of the white army of Putin and genocides like in Chechnya and counterrevolutionary blows as the one suffered by the Chinese worker and youth vanguard in Tienanmen square so that those parasites of the party of the "communist businessmen" from China-along side the Japanese and US transnationals and finance capital and the other imperialist transnationals in partnership or not- were able to over-exploit the proletariat, as Hitler wouldn't have dreamed in Warsaw and in the occupied zones by the Nazi army.

We propose to give together a tribute and a struggling vote in favour of the heroic and martyr Chinese working class. Today, under the shape of revolts in the cities and countryside, the Chinese working class faces the factory closures, plunder of land, massive layoffs, and the oppression of those murderous repressors and enemy of the people and working class who are the new "red businessmen" of the communist party in Beijing. Let's rise up together with the Chinese working class, the one that in the 19th century together with the black slaves built all the modern capitalist structure in USA, Europe and the rest of the word with its bones and blood, and today, in this rotten stage of decadency, agony of this system which deserves to disappear in the history, they are exploited, massacred and killed. Out of China the transnationals and the finance capital of Japan, USA, Germany, France and Europe! Down with the murderous government of Hi Jintao and the new mandarins of red companies of Beijing! Down with the new army and the official caste of the new Kuo-mihn-tan, killer of Chinese workers and peasants! The worker and peasant China that the Stalinism had given away to the world capitalism must stand up again! For committees of Workers and Poor and landless Peasants to recover the factories and the lands from the trasnationals and the greedy Chinese bourgeoisie and the international finance capital! Stop the massacre of the army of the murderous red Mandarins! For the destruction of the caste of military official! For Soldiers committees that put their weapons on the side of people , the revolts and the fight for the restoration of the proletariat dictatorship under revolutionary shapes in the Martyr China!

After the Second World War, the winner US imperialism broke its teeth in '52 in the peninsula of Korea. This process was content in the 38o parallel by the betrayal of the Stalinist, Maoist and Ki-Mihn-Jung bureaucracy. South Korea supported by the Japanese imperialism associated with the US, is only a floating military base fully armed to discipline the masses in the Pacific, built as a fortress of the exploiters as the US-UK military base in Hong Kong, that undoubtedly, associated or not with Japan if the crisis gets deeper, they will re take China and destroy it as they did in the 20th Century.

The Japanese proletariat has an historical responsibility with their class brothers of China, Korea, Asia and the Pacific. You comrades are part of a class in the Japan of the murderous imperialists, who lived great historical events of the Asian proletariat in Korea, China and in the US defeat in Vietnam. But you also were witnesses in the history of the greatest betrayals of Stalinism to the world proletarian revolution. They sold out Vietnam, China and now North Korea to the capitalist restoration. They stopped the mass offensive in 38o parallel in Korea. They sold out as flesh for exploitation the majority of the working class in China and Asia.

Today, the Japanese proletariat must look itself in the mirror of its class brothers of China and Korea; because if they go bad, the Japanese proletariat will go bad too. Let's stand up from Tokyo and Japan at the cry of: Out with Yankees bases from Japan, Hong Kong, South Korea! For the military defeat of US and Japanese imperialist troops in Asia, Iraq, Afghanistan and in the entire Middle East! Down with the governments of the new slavery bourgeoisies born from Stalinism of China and North Korea! The third Chinese revolution must stand up again for bread and land! For the expulsion of all the imperialists beyond 38o parallel and the whole Korean peninsula! For unified workers and socialist Korea! For a new Vietnam! Out transnationals off Vietnam and Asia!

But this time the Japanese proletariat -breaking with its own imperialist bourgeoisie- must lead this combat in Tokyo. For a Japan where its working class links its fate to the one of the Pacific working class! A single class, a single struggle from Korea to Japan, from China to Vietnam!

As Marx would say, any people that oppresses others is not able to liberate himself. The Japanese working class must stand up in one single claim: For equal work, equal wage in China and Japan! Out Japanese maquilas that starve the Chinese working class! No recognition of Japanese debts and investments in China! That is how the Japanese proletariat will have great allies -the millions of Chinese workers and peasants- to triumph in its own country! These are the forces for the victory and to open the struggle for a soviet revolutionary and worker Japan, for which the workers at the end of the Second World War died, a struggle that was interrupted by the betrayal of Stalinism!

Comrades; imperialism is the epoch of decay capitalism. They lay upon more parasitism, developing destructive forces and buying a sector of the working class, i.e. union bureaucracy and labour aristocracy; their parties and trade unions to support it, as jail keepers of the entire worker movement.

Two years ago the world economic crisis began. This new crisis and bankruptcy of world capitalist system proves that capitalism was able to way out the 68-74 crisis adding (after 1989) new markets of the former workers states as fresh blood. In 2001 when this was getting over, capitalism kept alive few more years until 2007 bankruptcy with new counterrevolutionary wars of occupation, massacring like in Iraq and Afghanistan and developing destructive forces.

From the ILTF we state that this rotten system -which crisis after crisis as a parasite system- have ate the benefits that human labour haven't produce yet. US, European and Japanese banks oligarchy have spent and wasted more than 14 trillion dollars. Today they are trying to make the exploited masses of the world -first of all the world working class - pay for the costs of the crisis.

The states have kept "toxic assets", i.e. the loss of the international finance capital. Over 4 trillion dollars were paid to US banks and companies by Yankee state to cover their deficit. Similar amount have been paid to save Germany, France and Japan banks. States have kept the debts and "toxic assets", to share the loss so the exploited of the world pay for them -particularly the working class- while they save the profits of capitalists.

Over 12 trillion dollars have been paid to cover the deficit of USA, which makes prevail his supremacy so the rest of imperialist powers and exploited masses pay for its crisis.

USA put 1,7 trillions dollars in Eastern Europe to cover the default and since its setting up in Poland, USA is threatening Germany from its own backyard. Despite Germany is the first exporter of the world, it is already in recession -together with the entire Europe-, threatened by an open depression. States have assets with no value and the masses will pay them with inflation and printing currencies, opening the perspective of a stagflation process. This will definitely create new defaults -as it has happened in the Eastern Europe countries- in all oppressed nations of semicolonial world.

Japanese imperialism is on the brink of the ruin, after the lost decade of the `90s. During those years Japan was dislocated from the world labour division conquered in Yalta as exporter and main supplier of microchips and technology or the US industrial military apparatus. If Japanese imperialism leave a 10 years crisis behind was due to its investments in China. Japan was one of the main supplier of machines, tools and credit (relatively cheap) for the transnationals settled in China, plundering that country, sending their factories to produce with Chinese wages and recovering the interest profits of its bank and financial capital with loans to China. That is what allowed it to raise its head in the first five years of the 21st century. But the current capitalism catastrophe put again Japan at the brink of the bankruptcy -under the conditions of recession and world crisis-. The Japanese working class is paying that crisis with mass dismissals, cutting of wages, as all the workers of the world.

In this crisis there is overabundance of imperialist powers and the future for China and Russia is like that of the Balkans in '89 and '90, or that of China occupied by Japan and England at the middle of 20th century. If the proletariat -submitted and with its hands tied because of its treacherous leaderships- doesn't give an answer to the crisis, imperialism and bourgeoisie will give it. They will increase the submission of the oppressed nations and super-exploitation of their own proletarians developing the inter-imperialist disputes for the dominance of the production branches, influence zones and raw material sources. This will not be peacefully. As Lenin and Third International said: the most important economic factor is the war; it is only there where the finance capital will recover its profit rate.

Comrades, the consequences of capitalism bankruptcy are paid by the masses. According to the FAO, -and it is not an invention of any crazy ultra -leftist but UN itself- 1 billion people have stopped eating every day in the world and other billion have lost their jobs.

Immigrant workers that yesterday, doing the worst jobs, built the richness in those nations, are expelled from the imperialist countries. Hundreds of thousands of black workers are expelled from Europe and many of them die in the Mediterranean Sea. Hundreds of thousands of Latin American immigrants in USA are expelled or jailed. But what it is even worst, they have led US, German, Japanese working class to similar or worst conditions than the working class these imperialisms oppress. More than 40 million US workers live from the alms of the state without health insurance or pension. The same happens in Japan, Germany, France and in the entire imperialist Europe. This is just the beginning.

In this assembly against the war, the FLTI Trotskyists want to affirm that the working class and the oppressed people of the world have confronted such counterrevolutionary offensive. It did in 2001 with the Latin American proletariat in revolutionary process as in Argentina, Bolivia or Ecuador. The war offensives for the oil routes and the massacres in Palestine, Afghanistan and Iraq were responded by a great mass resistance that has fought in Fallujah, Mazar I Shariff, the martyr Palestine and from the South of Lebanon giving a great defeat to the Zionist and counterrevolutionary army of Israel. A great resistance of masses and revolutionary hits that threatened to set up a vigorous movement against the war in USA which was the one that left on crisis the murderous Bush government hold by the Bi-party Republicrats regime. In 2007, when this crisis started, the working class said we are here. We get into an offensive combat in Greece and our cry was "in Athens starts the spark and the fire burns Paris". In Madagascar, Martinique, Guadalupe and the Antilles we went into the combat for our salary and against the French colonialism. In Paris, the youth of the immigrant workers upheaval shouted "every night we make a Bagdad in Paris" and we set up the pickets against the war in Oakland and the US west cost blocking the shipment of arms for the US murders war machinery; in Paris we start occupying the factories with the bosses as hostages stating who were the ones that had to pay for the crisis: the ones who made it and not the workers.

Comrades, we call to salute all together the fighters of the Greek barricades, the ones who have died and fight in Fallujah and Mazar i Shariff, to the heroic fighters of the Palestine resistance, to the Paris youth, and the workers occupying the factories in France, to the ones that stop the docks in USA, the ones that confronted the French imperialism in Martinique and Guadalupe, to the ones starting the revolution in Madagascar, because they are the advance guard of the indispensable masses counteroffensive that we have to conquer to make the exploiters and expropriators of the world pay for the crisis.

There was no lack of courage or predisposition of the exploited masses for the struggle. But there is too much treacherous leadership who betrayed and betrays step by step the exploited masses' combats.

Facing the masses counteroffensive and the World crisis, facing the perspective of a Vietnam scene, as the one threatened to be opened by the black bags of the dead US soldiers coming from Iraq and Afghanistan and the waking up of the US masses against the war, before the immigrants struggle, the imperialist butchers have disguised as Obama. A disguise to hide that they are still the same monopolies and finance capital that sent Afghanistan to the Middle ages on behalf of the civilization against barbarism; the ones that massacre over one million Iraqis in 3 invasions since 1993. They try now, dressed as a good guy, "giving the hand" to recompose the domain of the planet. Specially, they want to divert the upsurge of US masses against the war and the hated Bush's government. Also, today, the Japanese regime, which is hated by the masses, tries to do it bringing forward the election with the counterrevolutionary support of the Stalinism, to strengthen the Democrat Party to control again the Japanese government after 50 years; because of the hate of the Japanese workers and masses before Taro Aso's and Liberal-Democratic Party's government.

In order to come out of the economical and political world crisis, the capitalist system needs urgently that its paid agents save him. Thus, it has recruited all the treacherous leaderships that come from the labour aristocracy all around the world, and it has disciplined them under one command: "the working class must pay for the crisis. Defend and ward the governments of the boss' states in crisis from the hate of the exploited. Impose, with surrendering pacts, what hasn't been gained with counter-revolutionary class wars."

Thus, with counter-revolutionary pacts between popular front and fascism the heroic Bolivian revolution is strangled. Also semi-fascistic governments, as Uribe in Colombia, and military coups as in Honduras are supported. Over the blood of the Palestinian resistance, with new pacts, they want to guarantee keeping the workers and the masses in concentration camps and in Ghettos, and to support the genocide state of Israel. The same happens in Iraq, where the heroic Shiite masses make the Iraqi protectorate army run away in the south, while the Ayatollahs of Iran and Basora contain them and disarm them to support Maliki's government again. Meanwhile, the Turkish army invades the north of the country. So, while the Bolivarian bourgeoisie -supported by the stalinists, socialdemocrats and renegades of Trotskyism- have expropriated the Latin American revolution and they've put the left of the US working class at Obama's feet; the "Islamic" and "bazaar" bourgeoisie in the Middle East have used the heroic revolutionary fight of the masses to discuss its business as junior partners of the imperialism.

Comrades, Let's condemn the bourgeoisie of Al Fatah -and now Hamas- that, with the blood of the martyrized Palestinian masses, want to agree the existence of the two states, and keep strengthening the counter-revolutionary state of Israel! Let's oppose to the pacts of the bourgeois leadership of Hizbollah with the pro-imperialist government of Siniora, which allowed the entry of the UN imperialist troops, after the masses defeated the Zionist state in southern Lebanon. Masses have put the blood and the bourgeoisie makes business for re-building southern Lebanon, and leaving the Palestinian masses isolated in the Ghettos of Gaza and the West Bank, surrounded by the wall of opprobrium.

We can't allow this! Down with the collaborationist bourgeoisie that in the negotiation it gives away the fight of the heroic Palestinian masses! For a Palestinian national assembly of Gaza, West Bank, Lebanon and Jordan that unifies, under the leadership of the workers and peasants, the fight for destroying the Zionist- fascist state of Israel and conquer a national leadership, so the free secular democratic Palestine, under a peasants and workers government will be the advanced point for the revolution in the whole Middle East!

In Egypt and Iran, since 2007, a great struggle of the working class has started. The Ayatollahs and the Islamic bourgeoisies -terrified by the Iranian working class uprising- have launched the fiercest repression against the workers of their countries, which only demand bread and work on a growing unemployment and starvation.

Ayatollahs' regime represses its working class in Iran and guarantees the subordination of the Shiite masses in southern Iraq to stabilize the protectorate government. The infamous regime of the Ayatollahs is the one of the expropriators of the true revolution of its workers, soldiers and revolutionary students committees defeated the Sha Reza Pah Levi in 1979. To defeat the US and Japanese invader in Iraq and in Afghanistan: For the return of the Iranian revolution of 1979! For the return of the Shoras, the workers and soldiers committees! The martyrized masses in Gaza must break down again the wall of the opprobrium and unify with their class brothers in Egypt! Yankee and Japanese Out of Iraq and Afghanistan! French and German butchers out of Iran, Egypt and the Middle East! The sands of the desert must be the grave of the invader troops! The fight for national liberation and against the colonial oppression will only succeed with the expropriation of all the imperialist oil companies and all the imperialist companies and the ones owned by their servants: the native bourgeoisie, to conquer the federation of soviet workers and peasants republics in all the Middle East.

But, for preventing the opening of these revolutionary perspectives of the exploited, for preventing the spark in Athens from setting Paris or Tokyo on fire and for the fires of Madagascar not to reach Zimbabwe, Congo or South Africa; from all the transnationals and the finance capital of all the imperialist powers came a command: The working class must accept the suspensions, dismissals and give away their pensions, health insurance, accept cut in the hours of labour and even in wages, if they don't want to be fired from the productive process.

In all the countries of the world, one voice of command is obeyed by all the union bureaucracies and the reformist parties of the Labour aristocracy, including the AFL-CIO, the reformist European unions, the Bolivarian bourgeoisies and the ones covered under the Islam blanket, from the socialdemocrat and the recycled Stalinists to the renegades of Trotskyism: the working class must give away its gains, and even its jobs and wages in order to keep alive this horrible system over the ruin of the exploited. We can't allow this!

Comrades, we've travel 30000 kilometres to be at the Assembly. We came here to bring four proposals, because we've come here to fight together. We are aware of the differences we have, but we also know that we recognize each other as fighters of the world working class.

We have four proposals:

If all the leaderships have been recruited to act as scabs of the fights of the international working class to impose us losing our jobs and all of our gains to save the bunch of parasites that has taken mankind at the edge of the barbarism and disaster. We can't allow this!
If, with siren sings, they want to subjugate us to give away our heroic fights against the war and the exploiters; calling us to support our executioners as the Obamas and the Bolivarian Bourgeoisies, the popular fronts, the Islamic bourgeoisies that give away our liberation wars and our national struggles. We can't allow this either!:

That is why we propose:

1) Against that real "sliding scale of suspensions and dismissals" that the labour aristocracy and bureaucracy of the whole world want to impose, we must counter-pose the war cry: capitalists pay for the crisis! For the sliding scale of wages and hours of labour! All the available hands to work! Factories and machines have been stopped because this system can't even put them to produce; It is time for those to go to the hands of the ones who know how to produce, the working class! Expropriation without compensation and under workers' control of all factories that close or dismiss! No more money to the banks and capitalists! Expropriation without compensation of the super-banks and financial oligarchy! We must expropriate Wall Street, Bundesbank, Credit Lyonnise; Fuji, Toyota and Sony -which Paris workers occupied their factories-! No more loans of billions of dollars for the capitalist parasites! Expropriation of General Motors in the whole world!

Down with the increase of the cost of living! They must pay for the crisis! There is 1 billion of starving people in the planet. The wages no longer even recover the force of labour for the next day. Immediate increase of wages for everybody! Equal work equal wage, for women, youth and immigrants in the whole working class of the world!

2) We take as ours the war cry of the founders of revolutionary Marxism in the imperialist epoch. Let's cry with Karl Liebkneckt -the biggest fighter against imperialist wars-: Water and fire cannot be mixed! There is nothing that the exploited masses can do together with their executioners to free themselves! Down with the collaborationist bourgeoisies of Middle East! Down with the pacts of the Iranian Ayatollahs that repress the heroic Iranian working class and support Al Maliki and the Yankees' protectorate government! Down with the pacts of the collaborationist bourgeoisies of Middle East that support the Zionist fascist state of Israel; like Al Fatah or Hezbollah that gave away the masses of Southern Lebanon with the counterrevolutionary pacts with the pro-imperialist government of Siniora!

Down with the popular fronts that submit the Bolivian proletariat to its bourgeoisie and US-French imperialism! That pact propelled by Morales with the Media Luna -which smash the workers and peasants in that country- blessed by OAS. Down with the Popular Front on the African National Congress, where Stalinism and the black bourgeoisie submit South African proletariat and poor peasants! In the meantime they also impose a popular front of class collaboration in Zimbabwe with inflation of 1000%, 90% of unemployment and generalized famines in that country! Down with the pacts that want to restore capitalism in Cuba with Castro brothers and Obama and the assassin US Democratic Party! Down with the pact between Stalinism and the democratic party of Japan that will increase the offensive against Japanese proletariat and the offensive -together with USA- in Korea, China and in all Asia!

3) There has been a military coup in Honduras -US backyard- to put that country, with a powerful military base in that territory, to be -together with Colombia- the front line of US imperialism to recover his backyard that was disputed in the last period by all imperialist countries, specially France, Germany and Japan.

The US republicrats regime dresses as Obama on one hand and on the other hand massacres in Afghanistan, Pakistan and now in Honduras with a counterrevolutionary coup. They anticipated the workers and peasants arise that was coming, before it began or it can be diverted by the Bolivarian bourgeois fraction, that was looking for keeping a share of the business of the bananas companies, as it was Zelaya's government!

Out OAS, Latin American bourgeoisies, Obama and republicrats hands off Honduras! Out US military base off that country and all the bases in Colombia and Latin America that are the caves of coupists and counterrevolutionary forces in the continent! Down with the pact of Zelaya and the coupists, where the working class put the blood and the bourgeoisie do businesses to keep Honduras, Central America and Mexico submitted as a great US maquila! For workers and peasants militias to smash the coup, and to end with the official's caste who massacred the working class and to expropriate all the properties of the oligarchy, imperialism and the coupists! In Central America: One single fight, one single revolution! OAS gurkhas troops out of Haiti! French Imperialism and its mercenary troops out off Guadalupe and the Antilles! US out off Guantanamo! Down with the Castroite restorationist bureaucracy and its capitalist restoration pact with Obama! For a true workers, peasants and revolutionary soldiers government that put Cuba at the service of the Latin American revolution and world revolution! For the socialist United States of Central and South America!

We call from the American continent upon you, revolutionary youth and workers of Japan to organize a demonstration in Okinawa to the US military base and to demand and fight for: Out the military bases off Honduras, Colombia and Guantanamo! For the smash of the military coup financed by USA and Obama´s and republicrats´ regime!

4) Comrades; on this anniversary of Hiroshima and Nagasaky bombs lets make a commitment with our revolutionary workers honour and tell the world working class that the betrayal of social democracy (first) and Stalinism (at the mid of 20th century) open the road to the two imperialist wars. Stalinism did it giving away German, Spanish and French revolution during the '30s and specially stealing the heroic revolution of the Soviets in Russia in 1917.

Comrades; there is no doubt that if the proletarian revolution doesn't stop it -in this planet with too many imperialist powers- capitalism will survive not with peace but with new wars and even new holocaust and barbarism. Imperialist powers who lose in this world crisis, who be excluded of the world division, will not act as polite gentleman when they lose their business. They will try to get them back with guns and shooting as they already did it in the two world wars in the current imperialist epoch. Third world war will start like the second finished: with bombs as in Hiroshima and Nagasaky; and previously we will see, as we have seen in the black bloodstained Africa, with wars where imperialist countries encourage different ethnics and native bourgeoisie fractions. They use them to keep the plunder of minerals (as Coltan) or diamonds and precious stones. Those commodities are disputed by US, French and Japanese imperialist gangs. The revolutionary youth and workers of Japan, that today are gathering together in this assembly, must stand up with class hate against that massacre and genocide of our class brothers in Congo and Zimbabwe, which is the equal to 10 Hirshima and Nagasaky.

Comrades; to stop the holocaust and the use of nuclear weapons used by imperialist powers, the road can not be the peace in general; as Stalinism used to cry out loud during Yalta and Posdam. When they proclaim the cemetery peace and betrayed world revolution here and there.

The proletariat has a missile more powerful than all imperialist power nuclear arsenal. That missile is the socialist revolution in the imperialist countries with nuclear weapons. Stated clearly, revolutionary workers and students of Japan: there is only one way to stop French, US or Russian (acting on behalf of Germany) nuclear weapons, or even the Zionist counterrevolutionary state of Israel; or to prevent the arming of Japanese imperialism to defend its portion of the colonial and semicolonial world that is questioned because of the current crisis. The way is to unify workers ranks, prepare an international counteroffensive of the world proletariat to put on the table -not only who pay for the crisis; whether exploiters and parasites of world financial capitals or the working class- but also the fight for the socialist revolution in USA, France, Germany and Japan. Yes comrades, the revolution and the fight of the working class in the imperialist countries will be house by house, with the rifle of the workers militia, disarming the army. Because the workers manufacture the weapons, use them and transport them. The only thing that separates the workers from that are the reformist leaderships who are nurses of the capitalism. Nor the US, French, German bourgeoisie could use a nuclear bomb o through a missile inside their own country. We must tell the truth: the proletarian revolution in the imperialist countries is the only way for nuclear disarming. The fight for the restoration of the proletarian dictatorship in the former USSR and China and the defeat of the red mandarins is the guarantee for nuclear disarmament in the planet. To conquer peace and bread the only way is to expropriate the expropriators, and the proletarian revolution is the nuclear weapons of the exploited, which we cannot use because of the treacherous leadership. Time has come for the world working class start to raise up the demand that will finish its process of world revolution, in which its success will be consolidated. Enough servitude to imperialism! Enough pacific coexistence! For the socialist revolution in USA! For the socialist united states of North America! Down with the Fifth Republic of the French imperialist butchers, with the Spanish and British monarchies, and with the Bundesbank government in Germany! Victory for the proletarian dictatorship! For the socialist united states in Europe! Soviet workers and revolutionary Japan, in the way of the federation of the socialist republics of Asia!

For that reason, we came here to make you a third proposal to this assembly; a proposal which was already done by the revolutionary workers and youth in the Athens barricades, the workers and peasants in Madagascar, Martinique and Guadalupe and the ones that occupied the factories in France: "the spark in Athens, burns Paris"; and Let's affirm together: Burn down London and New York! We want a Vietnam in the Middle East! For the sands of the desert in the Middle East to be the graves of all the imperialist invasion troops! Break up with Obama to rise up again the US working class! Break up with the leadership of the WSF, with the renegades of Trotskyism who put the North American masses at the feet of the US imperialist butchers of the Democratic Party, the ones that really supported Bush and today continue their offensive in the planet!

To pay tribute to the war cry imposed by the Greek masses, let's make together a call to all the organizations that speaks on behalf of the working class to break with the bourgeoisie. Let's call together to arise again the Million Workers March against the war in USA. The world working class needs the Oakland workers stopping all activities in the docks against the imperialist colonialist and oppression wars. To fight against the counterrevolutionary hits as in Honduras and against the new counterrevolutionary offensives that the US, French and German imperialist butchers are preparing in the bloodstained Africa.
You revolutionary comrades, workers and youth of Japan have a responsibility and an obligation to make this call. The entire US left, from the Castrism to the renegades of Trotskyism between the Bolivarian friends and the Social Democrats, have conspired to dissolve this great united worker front which had organised the general strikes on May 1st in USA with its immigrant brothers and sisters and against the oppressed imperialist war. The combative railway workers and metal workers, and the revolutionary students of Japan have the authority to coordinate with its brothers from the US West Coast, to launch together the struggle to break with the bourgeoisie, the mermaid chants of the popular front and the class collaboration policy which make the masses sleep, so that the hot iron of fascism and counterrevolution hits them.

We call you to make this call to the Oakland workers and the organizations of the Million Workers March against the war in USA to organise a great congress of the combative, revolutionary and anti imperialist fighting workers' organizations around the world. To make the capitalist pay for the crisis, to expropriate the expropriators. To prepare the world masses counteroffensive to put on the agenda the International Socialist Revolution. It is time to regroup the workers' rank.

It is an honour to fight with you. It is an honour to be here. Let's do together this call.

Down with the labour aristocracy and bureaucracy, the World Social Forum, the Stalinism and the renegades of Trotskyism and the ones that sell out the world proletariat combat!
For an International Conference of the Principled Trotskyists and the revolutionary workers organizations!

We have to break with the imperialism disguised as Obama and break with all the national bourgeoisies and the treacherous leadership who are at their feet. The railway workers and the Japanese youth have the authority to make this call.

This is our war cry. Those are our proposals.
